Everything sold at our markets was grown, raised or made from scratch by the vendor. By buying your fruits, vegetables, meats and eggs at the Farmers’ Markets you are supporting local agriculture. That means you are also getting the very freshest produce possible as many crops are picked and brought to market within 24 hours.

LVHMC is a cooperative owned and run by its vendors. We have a volunteer board of directors and 2 part time staff persons. If you love the markets as much as we do we encourage you to consider giving us a hand.

Our mission is to promote local, sustainable and organic agriculture, increase economic opportunities for farmers and small food businesses, to offer experiential learning about and access to healthy local foods, and to build a vibrant gathering place for residents and visitors.

LVHMC Farmers markets serve as integral links between urban, suburban, and rural communities, affording farmers and their consumers the opportunity to interact; the popularity of  local farmers markets continues to rise, as more and more consumers discover the joys of shopping for unique ingredients sold direct from the farm, and the pleasure of buying familiar products in their freshest possible state.
