The Community Table
The Community Table is a dedicated space at each of our market for education and outreach. We welcome area nonprofit organizations that share a similar mission to LVHMC. We are interested in building community around healthy, local, and sustainable food.
Can you offer learning moments for our customers?
Who do you hope to connect with?
How will you impart the importance of locally grown food, local agriculture, healthy eating, or healthy lifestyle?
Community Table Rules
The community table is reserved for non- profit organizations.
The Community Table must be reserved in advance.
Community Table staff must arrive at the market to set up during the allotted time.
Tents, tables and chairs are not provided. Organizations are responsible for providing their own tents, weights, chairs, tables, signage, and display materials for the 10’x10’ stall space.
Organizations must abide by the weights and tent policies of LVHMC (http:// loudounfarmersmarkets.org/apply/tent- weights-weather-policy/)
There is no electricity available at the mar- ket site.
No products of any kind may be sold at community tables—all items available at a group’s table must be available free of charge. Donation jars are permitted.
Community Table staff must remain until market closing, regardless of weather. (Please note that we are a rain-or-shine market; see the LVHMC Rules of Operation for weather regulations.)
Participants must clean up their stall area at the end of the market.
All Community Table activities must be conducted at the Community Table stall. Staffers are requested not to move around the market to “sell” their message in any way that would disturb market-goers or Vendors. Any special requests should be communicated to the Market Outreach Co- ordinator at out- firstname.lastname@example.org.
All banners and signage visible to passers- by must be family friendly.
Liability insurance is strongly recommend.
The LVHMC Community Table program has been created to encourage local nonprofits to connect with our customers while offering them an opportunity to support Loudoun’s farmer’s markets. LVHMC is looking forward to working together with local non-profits to build a healthier community.
